Models Comparison

Reformation AI gives you access to a wide range of AI models from different providers. This page compares the capabilities, context windows, and other important features of these models to help you choose the right one for your needs.

Understanding Model Capabilities

When choosing an AI model, consider these key factors:

Context Window

The maximum number of tokens (roughly words) the model can process in a single conversation. Larger context windows allow the model to "remember" more of your conversation and process longer documents.

Max Output

The maximum number of tokens the model can generate in a single response. Models with larger output limits can provide more comprehensive answers.

Input Types

The types of data the model can accept as input. Some models only accept text, while others can process images, audio, or other data types.

Output Types

The types of data the model can generate. Most models output text, but some can generate images, code, or structured data.

Token: AI models process text as "tokens," which are pieces of words. In English, 1 token is approximately 4 characters or 0.75 words. For example, the sentence "Reformation AI is great" might be 5 tokens.

Choosing the Right Model

When selecting a model for your task, consider these factors:

For Complex Reasoning and Analysis

Choose advanced models like GPT-4o, Claude Opus 4, or Gemini 2.5 Pro. These models excel at complex problem-solving, detailed analysis, and nuanced understanding.

For Everyday Tasks

Models like Claude Sonnet 4, GPT-4o Mini, or Gemini 2.5 Flash offer a good balance of performance and cost for general use cases like drafting emails, summarizing content, or answering questions.

For Processing Long Documents

If you need to analyze or summarize very long documents, choose models with large context windows like Gemini 2.5 Pro (1M tokens) or Claude models (200K tokens).

For Image Analysis

When working with images, select multimodal models like GPT-4o, Claude Opus 4, or Gemini 2.5 Pro that can process both text and images.

For Cost-Sensitive Applications

If budget is a concern, models like Claude Haiku 3.5, GPT-4o Mini, or Gemini 2.0 Flash offer good performance at lower costs.
