Uploading Files
Some models support file uploads for analysis:

- Select the file you want to upload
- Add any additional instructions in your message
- Send your message with the attached file
Supported file types depend on the model you're using. Most multimodal models support images, while some advanced models can also process PDFs, spreadsheets, and other document types.
Adjusting Model Parameters
Fine-tune model behavior by adjusting parameters:
- Click the settings icon near the model selector
- Adjust parameters such as:
- Temperature: Controls randomness (higher values = more creative, lower values = more deterministic)
- Max Tokens: Sets the maximum length of the model's response
- Top P: Controls diversity of responses
- Frequency Penalty: Reduces repetition of phrases
- Save your preferred settings or apply them for the current session only
Using System Prompts
System prompts help set the behavior and context for the AI model:
- Click on the "System Prompt" option in the chat settings
- Enter instructions that define how the AI should behave
- Save your system prompt
- Start or continue your conversation with the defined behavior
Example system prompts:
- "You are an expert programmer helping with Python code"
- "You are a creative writing assistant focused on science fiction"
- "You are a data analyst helping to interpret statistical results"
Tips for Effective Prompting
Be Specific
Clearly state what you want the AI to do. Include details about format, length, style, and any other relevant parameters.
Provide Context
Give the AI relevant background information to help it understand your request better.
Use Examples
When appropriate, provide examples of the kind of response you're looking for.
Break Down Complex Tasks
For complicated requests, break them into smaller, more manageable steps.
Iterate and Refine
If you don't get the desired response, refine your prompt and try again. You can ask the AI to modify its previous response.
Troubleshooting
API Key Issues
- Invalid Key: Ensure you've copied the entire API key correctly
- Billing Issues: Check if your account with the provider has sufficient credits or if there are any billing issues
- Rate Limits: Some providers impose rate limits on API requests. If you're encountering errors, you might need to wait before making more requests
Model Availability
- Provider Outages: Check the provider's status page if a model is unavailable
- Access Restrictions: Some models may require special access or be in limited beta
Performance Issues
- Slow Responses: Large models or complex queries may take longer to process
- Context Limitations: If your conversation is very long, the model might lose track of earlier messages due to context window limitations
- Browser Performance: Try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache if the interface becomes slow
